Rick Conger began his training under Vic Milner in Murray Ky. in 1976. He has been under the direction of Jim Baize since 1980. He has trained with some of the top instructors available today, notably Nishiyama, Sugiyama, Enoeda, Shirai and Shimoji.
Conger began his teaching in 1978. He taught a college credit course three semesters for Murray State University in Murray, Ky. and taught at Murray Karate Center for 2 1/2 years. After opening Paris Karate in 1980 he taught part time until 1983. 2020 marks his 37th year teaching as a professional instructor. He is a 4th Degree Black Belt.
Rick is a native of Paris, TN. and a 1976 graduate from Henry County High School. He graduated in 1980 from Murray State University with a BS in Business and an area in Marketing. He is an Eagle Scout. Rick is married to Pam Conger and they have one daughter, Misty, and in 2014 they welcomed Maddox Dean Williams to the world, their first grandson. Rick and Pam are active members of First Christian Church where Rick serves as an Elder.
